Redwood Bank launches BTL bridging proposition

08 Sept 2026

Redwood Bank has launched a residential buy-to-let bridging proposition, introducing two products as it expands its lending range to meet demand for short-term property finance.

The proposition comprises a standard bridging product for residential landlord property purchases, development exits and refinancing, alongside a refurbishment bridging product designed to fund works that enhance a property’s value or mortgageability.

Both products are available on six, nine and 12-month terms, with potential extensions of up to a further 12 months.

Redwood said the products were intended to help landlords move quickly when opportunities arise. It supports property purchases at auction, refurbishment projects and situations where borrowers need interim funding before securing longer-term finance.

Stuart Davidson, chief commercial officer at Redwood Bank, said: “Bridging finance is a natural next step for Redwood as we continue to grow our lending propositions. We know our customers and brokers value speed, clarity and certainty, particularly when dealing with time-sensitive property transactions.

“This launch allows us to further support residential landlords, whether they are acquiring a property, carrying out improvements or managing a transition between funding arrangements.

“Importantly, it also strengthens our ability to build long-term relationships by supporting customers as their property portfolios develop and grow.” Redwood said the new proposition complemented its existing lending range and provided residential property investors with access to both bridging and term finance through a single lender.
