FIBA Regional Workshops 2018

We have an exciting range of events scheduled to take place in April, June and September in locations across the UK to better serve our existing and prospective membership.

You can register for as many events as you like – each will come with its own unique perspective and offering provided by our Lender and Professional Partners, which will vary from venue to venue.

The FIBA events are aimed at lifting the lid on specialist finance: its opportunities, concerns and the wider issues affecting your day-to-day dealings with providers. The outcome is that delegates walk away with a greater level of understanding when it comes to various lenders’ appetites, funding, the impact of the property and financial markets on the sector as a whole and, crucially, how to get more deals over the line.

Our first round will feature the all-new FIBA Live Deal Room where brokers and intermediaries will be able to:

  • Pitch real cases to individual Lender Partner panel members and obtain a view as if from a credit committee, leading to a discussion on the broker requirements, what challenges the deal presents and finding the best route to drawdown.

Lenders will be able to:

  • demonstrate through case studies what works for them and what does not.
  • explain how they would want to see a case presented, which will provide an understanding of different funding model appetites and constraints as well as the risk curve and managing the expectations of a case.

To make this section of the day more interactive, we are considering an opportunity where deal particulars become available and put on a screen in real time.
